Hundreds of citizens and residents of various communities in Grand Kru County in the Southeastern region of Liberia recently took to the streets in massive celebration when their lawmaker in the Lower House of Liberia’s bicameral Legislature, Cllr. Jonathan Fonati Koffa, alias “JFK,” perfectly installed several solar- powered street lights in various communities.

Among the communities which gleefully benefited from the solar-powered initiative by Representative Koffa, who is also Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, were Geeken, Chenwriken, Worpluken, and Tarken in Buah Statutory District.

Besides setting up the solar-powered street lights, the Grand Kru County District number two Lawmaker has been actively involved in other people-centered and impactful development projects in several different parts of the county.

The popular solar-powered street lights project by Rep. “JFK” has already been extended to

Niplaikpo in Jloh Statutory District; and Allawala and Dweken in Forpoh Statutory District to the delight of many more hundreds of citizens and residents, including students, women, children, youth, the elderly among others.

The Grand Kru County Lawmaker further committed himself to construct an up-to-the- minute Guest House, youth center, and the provision of stipends for over 50 volunteer teachers across the Buah Statutory District in the county.
